Nobody needs to teach Indian hypocrisy and stereotyping; it’s a gift in their blood. We love to laugh at another person’s mole on his nose, while we are standing in a pit full of cow dung. South Indians disliking north Indians, North Indians don’t like south Indians and both together dislike north-east Indians. In fact North-east Indians itself is new usage, for the rest of India they are just “Chinkis”. It’s not racist, just sense of humor.
One more thing common among all of them is “my daddy … Strooongest!!!’. We have the best culture, language, community and nature; we are best analyzers, psychologists and of course rest of them live in a fish pond. Those people don’t like Mohanlal to be hero in this age are O.K with Rishi Kapur dancing with girl of his grand daughter’s age. We are O.K with Salman Khan’s pink trouser but Vijaykanth’s yellow shirt is so funny.
One of the most general and popular “happy to be ignorant” story is about a place called Madras in India. People live there are madarassis. For south Indians it is one metropolitan city which is now named as Chennai. But unfortunately for north Indians it is a wide unexplored area comes in south to Maharashtra and Orissa. (For north east Indians it does not matter. Geographically south India has four different states and six to seven different languages, for north Indians it is just madras. The rest of the India thinks whole madras speaks one language Tamil and they survive with Idly Sambar Vada. We made a big deal when Celebrity big brother’s sister did not learn Shilpa’s name isn’t it?
Knowing Hindi is one more misconception around. People worried why rest of the world not bothered learn Hindi. Well why should they? States are organized as linguistic regions. Every state has its own language; they are official and national language as Hindi. Why complain people over there don’t understand my language?
This kind of assumptions and misconceptions works other way round also. Kashmiri’s don’t love India, Bengali’s don’t take bath, Assamee’s are extremists etc. Generally this or any of such issues are fought in mails and posts. One starts and there will be avalanche of mails/comments, cause it’s easy to write offending mails/posts.
This post ( This is Indian Racism) I can mention here is a person who is pissed off with the terrorism panic in Bangalore. People of North Indian origin is asked to register details in nearby police station (to be sure he has no records) and this guy goes Fs ad Bs. There was an analysis and it was found any of south Indians did not participate in freedom fights.
Now my message to those living out in their ponds like the frogs who never knew what it is like being outside….

The stupids of North India fight for India, die for India and u guys say they all are terrorists and you are different coz they are Northies. huh!!! Thanklessness Personified!!!! Strange analyses and may be it explains lot of things. Biharis getting kicked in Assam can be argued right back since Battle of Plassy ( seventeen hundreds I guess ), don’t ask me connection . And of course why marathi’s hate kannadiga’s in belagam ( currently Belagavi I guess ) is because kannadiga’s did not fight for Shivaji against Aurangazeb five hundred years back. Language – Tamil, Tamil and Tamil. Even if they know Hindi, they dont speak up.
Aren’t there any place where India where Hindi Hindi and only Hindi , or Bengali Bengali and only Bengali ? When you are not learning a local language when you are living in it , why are you expecting them to learn a language which is rarely used in their town. and about “even if they know Hindi they dont speak is highly exaggerated. There are some proud , conservative people but they are exceptional cases. Why would an auto driver or a cigarette shop owner ( Most of the time you interact with only these ) does not talk to you in Hindi ( even if he knows ) . There is life he has and he needs to earn to live.
Food – Idly, sambhar, rice, dosa, vada, pongal We have to cook our food ourselves (unbelievable naa). “Even dogs eat curd rice ,”
Once we saw a girl in the food court, she was looking and acting like a north Indian. My friend became exited and planned to talk to her, but just then we noticed her breakfast and then “dil ke armaan aansuon mein beh gaye”, she was having pongal. (disguise!!)
What about places where only roti, naan, alu parantha? Dude what will you do if you go to Italy ? eat pizza / pasta or complain that you don’t get Tanduri items
We asked an auto driver, “Hindi aati hai”?. He replied in Hindi “Hindi nahi aati”.
At least that. If a tamilian comes to Delhi or Mumbai and asks “Tamil terima ?/kannada barutta ” will he reply as ” teriyad/gottila ” . He will say ” go to hell / bhad me jao ” isn’t it ?

Basically I am a south indian and I’m a student in singapore.when you are in a foreign country its very common to have racist comments from the majority of the country. But luckily the people in singapore is really nice and its a country with the most racial harmony in the world.
But to my shock i had my first bitter experience in terms of race was from some fellow indians who are really PROUD being from north of india.I used to do partime in an indian restaurant.Everyday these north indian crews were poking fun at the south indian crews.And i pity them for juz sticking to their usual points against southies like idly, vada,sappidama,lungi etc etc and a bit of tamil words they heard from here and there.At first I was like fuming at this non-sense.But as days passed by we all southies got used to it. But I am still surprised that even after a year or so still when we meet this northies over a cup of coffee or a dinner at the food court, they still start the conversation with a comment about either lungi or the craze of southies over rice.why they have to make fun of the eating habits of people and why they want everyone to follow their habit of eating chappatti and dhaal everyday!And also if a southie eat with his hands there is another reason for poking fun at them as if those who are making fun are brought up in US or Italy.
Then another comment is about the tamil movies and songs. But I knoe how many northies were queing up in the singapore india theatre to grab the ticket of shivaji.
Last but not the least, I even had to face some questions from them asking me y u south indians are verrryyyy black. I couldnt say anything when i think about how inconsiderate they are but i could help them by expalining scientifically what MELANIN is….
Anyway one day it happened in the restaurant that I announced in the resaturant if i see any nothies taking sambar or rasam or idli for their meal, i wont let them go easily…haha..thats all i could say after being so hurt by their mean words for over a year…
Anyway this comment is not at all to hurt anyone…but to let u all knoe that when indians complaing abt their worst racial experiences in western countries, u have to ask urself are u being considerate and respecting all groups fellow indians..

I dont know why all north indians think Hindi is our national language. There is no national language for india for god sake. The constitution states clearly that India doesnt have national language and no one is forced to learn any language. The congress and ur school has taught you completely wrong about india, Im really worried that no one knows about our country. Hindi is just an official language. Tamilnadu is the asian region of the future surpassing new south wales australia according to FDi magazine. We achieved this without hindi and more to achieve without it. English should be the link for all indians what so ever.

South Indians are really pathetic people. Every one I’ve come across has some chip on their shoulder against north Indians even though without us they’d all be Pakistanis.
Theres a reason North Indian food, movies and music are dominant in India, Afghanistan, Pakistan and all over Western Asia its because they are simply BETTER. No ifs, ands or buts about it. The only place in south India thats any good is Maharashtra. And thats not even really south.
Oh and you can’t grow wheat in South India because of climate, there were NO south Indian freedom fighters, thats a fact and you people would be enslaved by Pakistanis because of your features (I think you all know that), so don’t wish for us to be defeated, oh and Kashmiris are probably some of the most proud north Indians around read about the accomplishments of the J and K light infantry.
The hypocrisy is astounding. You will readily attack north Indians but when a Pakistani or Britisher gets in your face you will immediately go to “Yessirah” mode. Show your courage for India and the rest of the country will respect you more. Oh and BTW north Indians have no problem with Bengalis, they are brave people who did a lot for India.

There are so many if’s and but’s for north indian food sharing commonality with pakistan and afghanistan. Its cause it is not ‘better'(in england they call all you northies as pakis and curry munchers). It is because north indians were invaded and raped by moslems and they forced their food on north indians. You dont know about south indian freedom fighters cause your northie fathers dont want you to know. My experience is that north indians bring their children with an insular mind. they teach theor children to abhor south frm the childhoo. Its very similar to palestines who teach their children to go to jihad.. lol what a freaky bunch!
