Have you ever wondered who started copy culture in Bollywood movie Industry ?
There is Anu malik , there was bappi lahari, but who is before that. What, how and who used to copy songs for our favorite industry pre-bappi era ? Someone should really investigate this matter ( and blog it ), like bollycats are doing.
For the time being I present you one fossil evidence of same profession , which date PB era ( pre-buppi era). This song feat.s hysteric Shammi kapu and four monkyes dancing to a tune directly plagiarized from a Beatles song.
Yenjaay
and the orginal

I thought Shammi Kapoor used to “BollyCat” Elvis dada… whatever, so he started it….

Gawd, it’s so bad it’s funny. If it makes you feel any better, press the play button on both your clips, then hit the mute on the Hindi one. Shammi becomes far funnier when the Fab Four serenading are the original Fab Four.

How about Kamal Hassan’s artistic (sorry shameless) adaptation of Mrs Doubtfire…
By the way Bappi Lahiri sued someone for copying his music…Isnt he the biggest “plagiarizer” of all (I dont mean size)

RD/Sd and musicians of 60s/70s mostly plagiarized for eastern european classical folks. There are astounding similarities in both the styles, thats shameful. We never had anything original, even in the e-biz. SHAMEFUL SHAMEFUL SHAMEFUL.
thanku karthik for the link.
